Commission for Lionel

Fallout Fan Art (Sort of). A lot of things can arise out of a post apocalypse world.

I wanted to do something different. He origonally order a charcoal commission, but due to repeated delays never got to it with in the set deadline. I have a bunch of this weird self made color paint, I call "Gak". and it does weird things when you mix it with whites, and blacks. Its moody and hard to keep consistent. So, I upgraded to commission to a monochromatic painting because of the delays, and painted it with my "Gak" color.

Not much else to say, other then I was commissioned to do a two headed anthro bear in NCR armor (from fallout) with a mini-gun in post apocalypse San Francisco. I don't think its lore friendly, I am not to familar with Fallout. Skyrim on the other hand...

Victorian Jackelope (Jakebe)

Gift Art for Jakebe

Jakebe is a long time friend, and I decided to throw this into his package when I shipped him his actual commission. Just a quickie free hand monochromatic painting. Sixish hours work time. It was nice to work without expectation.

Jakebe

Conbadge Commission for Jakebe

Jakebe is a a shape changing Fae, whose (assumed) base shape is that of a 8ft tall muscular anthro Reverine Rabbit/Kudu Jackelope. A truly strange and magical creature.

He must be a distant cousin of me, as I too am a shape changer and Fae blooded creature who's base shape is a drunk, fat, anthro raccoon, but I digress as this post is not about me. I have not decided whether the clothing makes him look more alien or less...

My conbadges are a small painting plus a 3" x 4" high resolution laminated print with name added. This ones badge can be found here: CLICKY

Wind Offering

Commission for Kantuck Nadie Nata-Akon

Far in the future, the traditional ways are preserved and practiced by the uplifted animals of the earth.

This commission has a lot of symbols, and deeper meanings. Every detail was either requested or approved by the customer, and is an image apart of a much longer story.

NARFA Memories

A little warm up before I drive back into the piles of back logged commissions I have collected. 2016 was not as productive as 2015, the muses were not generous this passed year. Though I acted like they were and kept taking commissions. 2016 has been in a two words... Disappointing, and Traumatic...

Anyhow, here is a still-life... I know still-lifes are not very exciting for most. For me however, they are very cathartic. There is no stress or expectation of creating art of something that does not exist. They let me play with light, shadow, and mood.

This one is called “NARFA Memories”. As many of NARFA's memories (for me) are around a bottle of scotch, and a NARFA shot glass. Though this should be a bottle of Dalmore and not Glenlivet, but its a pretty bottle that was laying around. I also like panting colored glass.

Enjoy.

Ashmodei

Commission for Ashmodei Ashmodei is an old friend of mine, he finally commissioned me, which surprised the poop out of me. He is full of surprises, just when you think you know someone... Anyhow, this another painted badge commission. These seem to be very popular, I have gotten a lot of request for these. The badge version: http://www.raccoonarts.com/Artz/05Ashmodei.html He is an Owl-Dragon, and I had to draw this one twice (the original was not enough “Dragon”). In the end, I did what I do, and he was pleased. Not much else say about this one, so enjoy. *Grin* Ryngs

General Updates, MFM, and Ponies!

Sorry I have been quiet as of late. Late summer is always a rough season for me. Its hot (my least favorite condition), the light is changing (yay, moodiness!), in addition WoW has a new expansion (my heroin comes back again and again; I am such a tool). I have had to prep for my dealers table for MFM. Finally, sometime you just need a break from all the creativity. Breaks prevent burn out. August is traditionally a month I do not produce much, and fighting it means I may burn out.

I am still here, and still me... (Sort of; Yay, Panda Holy Priest! <<< WoW thing.)

Art is coming but it will happens when it happens. *Shrug*

MFM was good, I had fun and I did well enough as a dealer there. A few disappointments, like the fact that the Brony Dance was relegated to a sound check, in spite of the fact that there was a shit ton of Bronys at the Con. The dance is one of the main things I was looking forward to, and it was a real downer that it was on Thursday, had no video display, and was really used to sound check the system. If I have to do it my self, that will not be the case next year. This I swear!...

For me one of the good things was that I came home with a a copy of the Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder Core Card Game (so wrong), 8 figurines (Thank you Morphy), I was given a Shining Armor Funko, and got a Build-A-Bear Luna Plushi (Thank you Alex for not taking it).

Now don't get me wrong, MFM is still very much a furry Con, the majority of the attendees are Furs, and the Bronies that do attend are as much furs as Bronies (Like me). It was nice, and very little drama all weekend, but then again I was not on staff this year (to busy running the dealers table).

Now to clean up the post apocalyptic destruction that is my house and studio, and to balance my art with my addition to WoW.

Enjoy *Grin*
